VoltageLab: NEC Exam Prep — Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 20 August 2026

These Terms govern your use of the VoltageLab: NEC Exam Prep mobile application and related services (the “App”), operated by VoltageLab (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1) Purpose of the App

The App provides practice questions and timed mock examinations to help you prepare for electrical licensing examinations in the United States, shaped to the published format of the state you select.

The App is a study aid. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), any state licensing board, or any examination vendor including PSI and Pearson VUE. “NEC” and “National Electrical Code” are registered trademarks of the NFPA, used here only to describe the subject matter of our study material.

2) Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the App.

3) User Accounts and Access

You are responsible for the accuracy of your account details and for keeping your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may delete your account at any time from within the App or by emailing us.

4) Subscriptions, Payments, and Pro Features

The App offers optional paid subscriptions and in-app purchases.

5) Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

6) Content Disclaimer — important

Our questions and explanations are prepared with reference to the National Electrical Code edition each state has adopted, and to the exam formats published in each board’s candidate bulletin. Codes, state amendments, and exam formats change, and errors are possible.

We do not guarantee that you will pass any examination. The App does not reproduce any actual examination, and the questions it contains are our own practice material, not real exam items. Nothing in the App is professional, legal, or code-compliance advice. Always work from the current NEC edition adopted in your jurisdiction, your state’s amendments, and your board’s current candidate bulletin. You are responsible for verifying licensing requirements with your own state board.

7) Intellectual Property

The App, its content, and its design are owned by VoltageLab or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own exam preparation. All other rights are reserved.

8) User Feedback

If you send us suggestions or feedback, you grant us a perpetual, royalty-free licence to use them to improve the App, without obligation to you.

9) Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services, including Google Firebase, RevenueCat, Microsoft Clarity, and the Apple and Google app stores. Their own terms and privacy policies govern their services. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

10) Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, examination outcomes, licensing decisions, or costs of resitting an examination. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11) Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, or if we are required to by law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — will survive.

12) Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and for material changes we will give notice in the App. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised Terms.

13) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here removes consumer protection rights you have under the law of your own country of residence.
